Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Certified Rigger to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient rigging, lifting, and movement of heavy equipment and materials across construction sites and industrial environments. Your expertise in crane operation, hydraulics, and materials handling will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards. Duties
- Perform precise rigging operations using cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy equipment to lift, move, and position materials safely.
- Inspect all rigging gear, cranes, hoists, and lifting accessories regularly to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Coordinate with crane operators and construction teams to plan lifting sequences and ensure load stability during lifts.
- Handle materials efficiently within warehouse environments or construction sites, including shipping & receiving activities.
- Operate overhead cranes and hydraulics systems with skill and precision while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Implement OSHA safety standards consistently across all rigging activities, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
- Maintain detailed documentation of rigging procedures, inspections, and incident reports as required by safety regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or industrial settings involving heavy equipment operation such as cranes, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, or boom trucks.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics and crane mechanics.
- Valid certification as a Rigger from an accredited organization; familiarity with OSHA safety standards is essential.
- Hands-on experience with materials handling in warehouse or shipping & receiving environments.
- Strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and best practices for heavy equipment operation.
- Prior work experience operating overhead cranes, hydraulic lifts, forklifts, backhoes, or excavators in construction or industrial projects.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics related to rigging hardware and machinery.
