Job Overview:
Universal Appliance Repair, LLC is seeking an experienced and dependable Appliance Repair Technician to join our growing team. This role is best suited for a technician who can efficiently diagnose and complete multiple service calls per day while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Compensation:
- Pay: $22–$24 per hour, depending on experience
- Typical workload: 5–7 service calls per day
- Work schedule: Monday–Friday, with up to 2 Saturdays per month preferred
- Workday expectation: Technicians are expected to complete their assigned route and service calls within a standard 8-hour workday through effective time management and route efficiency. Overtime is not offered for this position, and additional hours must be approved by management in advance.
- Performance Bonus: Additional bonuses are available for technicians who successfully complete 8 or more service appointments in a single day while maintaining quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair residential appliances (washers, dryers, ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, etc.)
- Provide accurate assessments and repair recommendations
- Complete service calls efficiently and professionally
- Document work performed using company CRM
- Deliver excellent customer service
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of appliance repair experience
- EPA Certification PREFERRED(or currently in process)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must have own tools to complete appliance repairs (basic hand tools and multimeter required)
- EPA-related tools preferred (gauges, vacuum pump) if applicable
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to efficiently complete 5–8 service calls per day
