Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and providing patient care
- Prepare and package medications for distribution
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
- Process prescription orders and verify patient information
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Answer phone calls and address inquiries or concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Proficient in medical terminology and pharmacy calculations
- Experience with IV infusion and medication administration in an acute care or hospital setting
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for sterile compounding
- Familiarity with critical care medications and inhalation therapies
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing
- Understanding of patient confidentiality laws and regulations
