Field Sales Representative — Tectum Quality Roofing
Pittsburgh, PA | Independent Contractor (1099) | Commission-Based | ~20 hrs/week
Tectum Quality Roofing is a growing roofing company serving Pittsburgh-area homeowners. We're expanding our field sales team and looking for driven, personable people to connect with homeowners and set the stage for our closers to help them get the roof repairs they need.
As a Field Sales Representative, you'll work assigned neighborhoods, meet homeowners in person, and spot potential roof damage. You'll set qualified appointments for an experienced closer to run a free inspection. No roofing experience needed — we provide hands-on training from a top-performing member of our sales team.
What you'll do
- Engage homeowners directly in assigned neighborhoods
- Identify signs of roof damage and start genuine conversations
- Set qualified appointments for a free roof inspection
- Track daily activity via a simple mobile app
Schedule: 4 days a week (your choice of day off, Mon–Fri) plus a required Saturday, generally 4–8 PM.
Pay: Commission-based, paid per qualified appointment set, with weekly bonus tiers that grow with your results. Top performers have the potential to earn well beyond a typical hourly wage. Full bonus structure shared at interview.
Growth: Strong performers are considered for promotion to a closer role within 6–8 months.
We're looking for someone self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable meeting new people outdoors. Reliable transportation required. Prior sales or customer-facing experience is a plus but not required.
