POSITION: K-12 Art Teacher
LOCATION: Athens Area Schools
REPORTS TO: Building Principals
SALARY: Per Athens Education Association Master Agreement
EFFECTIVE DATE: August 2026
Athens Area Schools is seeking a passionate and dynamic K–12 Art Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. This position could be shared between two buildings, offering a rewarding opportunity to inspire and engage students across multiple grade levels with a high-quality music education program.

Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with K–12 endorsement.

Ability to travel between two school buildings within the district.
Preferred Qualifications

Michigan Art Education Certification (LQ, LZ or OX endorsement).

Prior experience teaching art in a school setting.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Deliver engaging art instruction to K–12 students aligned with state and district standards.

Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect the diverse talents and interests of students.

Assess and document student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.

Collaborate with school staff to support student success and school-wide events.

Travel between assigned school buildings as part of the weekly schedule
