Janitor – Government Facility (Part-Time)

Position Overview
This position provides quality commercial cleaning services at a secure government-controlled facility. Janitorial work is physically demanding and requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, and other physical activity throughout each shift.
While previous janitorial experience is helpful, it is not required. We will provide training for the right candidate.
Security Requirements
Because this position is located within a government-controlled facility, applicants must meet federal security requirements.
Before beginning work, candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation. Please note that this process typically takes at least two weeks to complete before a start date can be scheduled.
Schedule & Pay
Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour
Hiring Bonus: $250 after successfully completing two weeks of work on site
Schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday
- Part-Time
- 4 hours per shift
Responsibilities
- Clean and restock designated facility areas, including:
- Dusting
- Sweeping
- Vacuuming
- Mopping
- Restroom cleaning
- Break room and kitchen sanitation
- Emptying trash
- Complete assigned cleaning routes in a timely manner.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks and maintain cleaning documentation when required.
- Complete heavy cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Notify management promptly of maintenance issues or repair needs.
- Maintain supply rooms using provided materials.
- Work cooperatively with fellow team members.
- Follow all confidentiality requirements.
- Observe all company health and safety policies.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous janitorial experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to read and/or write in English.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if driving a vehicle.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including:
- Standing and walking for the entire shift.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and balancing.
- Regularly lifting up to 30 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Basic understanding of commercial cleaning practices is preferred. Training will be provided.

- Successfully pass a background check.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Drug testing may be required.
- COVID-19 vaccination or screening may be required based on site requirements.
