Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lighting & Electrical Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services on various electrical systems and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles and the ability to work effectively in both commercial and industrial settings.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of lighting & electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Sites normally included homeowner's associations (HOA's) and commercial properties.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand system layouts and wiring configurations.
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively for installation and repair tasks.
- Build and install electrical components according to NEC standards.
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
- Experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
