Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mesero to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As a Mesero, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every guest receives outstanding service in a fine dining environment. Your responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide them with menus.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize OpenTable for managing reservations and seating arrangements.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
- Prepare tables for service, including setting up utensils, glassware, and condiments.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Address any guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including sanitizing tables and chairs between guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills for handling bills and processing payments accurately.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables during busy shifts.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
