Position Summary
A Home Health Aide provides non‑medical support services that help clients remain safely in their homes. This role focuses on daily living assistance, companionship, and household support rather than clinical tasks.
Core Responsibilities
- ADL Support — bathing assistance, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility help
- IADL Support — meal prep, grocery shopping, errands, light housekeeping
- Companionship — conversation, social engagement, supervision for safety
- Medication Reminders — prompting only
- Transportation Assistance — appointments, community activities (if allowed)
- Home Organization — tidying, laundry, maintaining a safe environment
- Observation & Reporting — noting changes in mood, behavior, or condition
- Client Advocacy — supporting independence and respecting preferences
Qualifications
- No formal medical certification required
- Experience in caregiving preferred
- CPR/First Aid (recommended)
- Ability to lift 20–40 lbs.
- Background check and TB screening
