<Job Overview>
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting complex litigation cases, ensuring efficient case management, and facilitating smooth communication between attorneys, clients, and external partners. <Responsibilities>
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests, and legal correspondence
- Manage and organize case files using document management systems
- Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, and evidence for accuracy and relevance
- Coordinate depositions, court filings, hearings, and client meetings while ensuring adherence to deadlines
- Interview clients, witnesses, and experts to gather pertinent information for litigation cases
- Maintain detailed case records, track case progress, and update case management databases regularly
<Skills>
- Extensive paralegal experience with a focus on litigation support across diverse practice areas such as family law, landlord-tenant law, real property, contracts, estate planning and more
- General knowledge in legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis for effective case analysis
- Strong knowledge of legal case management software for document review and data entry
- Excellent writing skills for drafting pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and legal memos
- Exceptional proofreading and transcription abilities to ensure accuracy of all legal documents
- Skilled in project management to handle multiple cases efficiently while meeting deadlines
- Superior organizational skills with experience in filing systems, document review processes, and administrative support functions
- Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette for interacting with clients and court personnel
- Familiarity with document management systems and document review tools for efficient handling of large volumes of files
