We are a KG-12 non-profit private school for children with special needs. We offer small classroom ratios and individualized curriculum for our students. All teachers have a full time assistant and they work side by side with our on staff speech, occupational and physical therapists as well as our behavior analyst and registered behavior technicians.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting teacher in implementing lessons plans.
- Assisting students in daily tasks and implementing modifications if needed.
- Providing assistance to children in the classroom to ensure an enriching, safe, and clean environment.
- Assumes responsibility of the teacher when the teacher is absent.
Skills / Requirements:
- Knowledge of applicable safety procedures.
- Ability to exercise control and maintain classroom discipline.
- Ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children.
- Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff.
- Assists with delivery of age-appropriate content for students.
