Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate a variety of construction machinery and heavy equipment to support building projects, infrastructure development, and site preparation. Your expertise will ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality operations on the job site. Duties
- Operate a wide range of construction machinery including excavators, loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, cranes, dozers, water trucks, dump trucks, and tanker trucks to facilitate various phases of construction projects.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Handle materials using appropriate material handling equipment such as forklifts and roll-off trucks, ensuring safe loading and unloading procedures.
- Follow all safety regulations and occupational safety procedures diligently while using personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and operational reports for project documentation.
- Assist with site setup and cleanup by operating heavy machinery for earthmoving, grading, excavation, and site preparation tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of materials and machinery efficiently across the construction site.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, cranes (including tower cranes), dozers, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tankers.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics systems and mechanical maintenance practices related to construction equipment.
- Prior construction site experience with familiarity in construction safety procedures and occupational safety regulation compliance.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving including concrete mixers and tanker operations is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools and basic mechanical knowledge for routine equipment repairs.
- Ability to perform construction machinery maintenance tasks independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and material handling equipment operation to ensure a secure work environment.
