About the project:
I’m building a feminine, elevated, small-batch fashion brand and am currently producing a signature mini dress and top. This is an ongoing production opportunity with a flexible timeline if it’s a good fit.
This product is very simple in terms of pattern and sewing. I am currently doing it all, but am at the stage where it's time to grow and work with a seamstress who knows more than I do!
What I need help with:
* Creating/refining a pattern from an existing sample - a one time operation
* Cutting fabric, I provide the materials
* Full construction/sewing of the product
* Ability to maintain consistent quality for small production runs
Product details:
* Lightweight chiffon mini dress and top
* Made-to-order (small batch)
* Simple but precise construction (clean finish, feminine silhouette)
What I’m looking for:
* Experience in dressmaking / womenswear
* Strong pattern-making + sewing skills
* Able to work from a sample and scale into small production
* Reliable turnaround time (approx. 2-3 hours sewing per piece once established)
* Ideally based in Bay Area or LA (open to other U.S. locations if you ship)
Compensation:
* Paid per piece as orders come (~$15-20/hour) + separate pattern/sample compensation (one time ~$100)
* Open to discussing your rates based on experience
* Looking for a long-term production relationship if it’s a fit
