Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure excellent customer service, and lead a team towards achieving sales and operational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with a comprehensive understanding of retail management practices. This role offers an opportunity to manage a vibrant store environment, implement effective strategies, and foster a positive experience for customers. This role provides a flexible schedule including Sundays off.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating employee performance.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock control, purchasing, and merchandising to optimize product availability and presentation.
- Manage daily store operations such as cash handling, POS transactions, cashiering, and maintaining accurate bookkeeping records.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while ensuring excellent customer service standards.
- Conduct employee orientation sessions, ongoing training & development programs, and manage shift schedules to ensure smooth store functioning.
- Monitor store budget adherence, perform retail math calculations for pricing and sales analysis, and oversee inventory control procedures.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives to promote store products and services effectively.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
- Handle customer inquiries professionally via phone etiquette and in-person interactions to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Utilize management skills to supervise daily operations efficiently while fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.
Experience
- Proven management experience in restaurant or cafe with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong background in sales, inventory management, merchandising, and POS systems.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management, training & development, and employee supervision.
- Proficiency in math including sales management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
- Experience with budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, marketing initiatives, and administrative tasks is preferred.
- Prior assistant manager or supervisory roles are highly desirable. This position requires a motivated individual capable of managing multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
