We are hiring Data Center Field Technicians to support enterprise data center deployment and infrastructure projects across multiple customer locations. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in structured cabling, fiber optics, hardware installation, and data center operations who enjoy hands-on technical work and travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, route, terminate, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling.
- Perform cable testing, loopback testing, and circuit verification.
- Rack, stack, install, and decommission servers, switches, and other network equipment.
- Support data center moves, adds, changes, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Install cable trays, patch panels, and maintain proper cable management.
- Read and follow network diagrams and installation documentation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations and network paths.
- Follow all safety standards and customer site procedures.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and customer teams.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of experience in Data Center Operations, Structured Cabling, or Field Services.
- Hands-on experience with fiber optic and copper cabling.
- Experience using cabling hand tools and testing equipment.
- Basic understanding of networking and data center infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel 100% and work overtime/weekends when required.
Preferred Skills
- OTDR testing
- Fusion or Mechanical Splicing
- BICSI certification (preferred but not required)
- Experience supporting enterprise or hyperscale data centers
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (75 lbs with assistance).
- Comfortable working on ladders, in confined spaces, and active data center environments.
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
