Title: Compliance /Professional Development Coordinator
Service Area: Compliance of child services and health and safety

Reports to: Assistant Director of Infant/Toddler Services
Position Summary:
Essential Functions:
1. Implement the Performance Standards across program option settings
2. Work with program staff, Child Care staff and Sub-recipients to insure compliance with Performance Standards
3. Perform Health and safety checks at all child care partner locations and program classroom on monthly basis
4. Monitor for compliance in Active Supervision as well as ratio checks for compliance at all child care partners/program classroom on a regular basis
5. Identify areas of non-compliance at centers/classrooms and provide continual individualized training at respective centers/classrooms in the area needing improvement.
6. Train new staff in the areas of Home Visitor, Support Specialist and others as needed
7. Plan professional development opportunities for child care partners' staff and program staff.
8. Track professional development plans of program staff and child care partner staff.
9. Track credentials of CC Partner classroom teaching staff
10. Attend compliance meetings at CC partner locations
11. Create and revise program service area plans, forms, letters, etc.
12. Assist in planning and implementing socializations
13. Travel between sites as required
14. Assist staff as necessary
15. Assist staff with technology
16. Work in conjunction with Assistant Director of Sub-recipient and Health to provide support and assistance
17. Work as liaison between COTRIAC PROGRAM and ELRC for region 4 & 5, work with CCIS to ensure proper funding is being used, amongst other duties
18. Keeping current with DHS regulations and Star regulations and coaches, be a go between with updates and making sure PROGRAM is implementing them
19. Oversight of specific safety areas throughout PROGRAM such as Food Serve, CPR/First Aid and playground safety, work with staff to ensure all safety policies and procedures are being followed
20. Provide organization of inventory, material shipments and track inventory at each location.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Participate in trainings, meetings, conferences and program reporting as relevant to the duties and responsibilities of this position
2. Perform other duties as assigned
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
1. A Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, Psychology, Nursing or related field with 3 year of experience with 0-5 year old. Master's degree preferred in Early Childhood Education, Education, Psychology or nursing with 1 year experience with 0-5 year old children.
2. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
3. Familiarity with Head Start Performance Standards, and federal regulations
Other Requirements:
1. Initial Physical exam and TB text for new hires
2. Initial PA Child Abuse clearance, PA Criminal Check and FBI clearance
3. Current PA driver’s license, vehicle and proof of insurance liability
4. Must have I-9 proof of employment eligibility
5. Bi-annual CPR and First Aid Certification
6. Working knowledge of Microsoft or equivalent systems
Pay: $23.96 - $35.64 per hour
