As a Line Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals for our guests, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring proper food handling procedures in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist with preparing ingredients such as vegetables, proteins, sauces, and other items needed for daily menu items.
- Cooking: Cook menu items to order during peak hours, ensuring quality, consistency, and presentation according to the golf course's standards.
- Line Setup: Ensure that the kitchen line is organized, clean, and stocked with the necessary ingredients and tools for cooking.
- Inventory and Stocking: Help with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and organizing stock in the kitchen.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to all food safety regulations and kitchen cleanliness standards.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and dishwashers, to ensure efficient operation.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, grills, ovens, fryers, and slicers.
- Guest Satisfaction: Ensure that meals are prepared quickly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience at the golf course.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen, preferably in a line cook or prep cook position.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining quality and consistency.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to [specify weight, e.g., 50 lbs].
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a golf course or resort kitchen is a plus.
