Bethlehem Lutheran Child Development Center is a small Christian childcare center in Elgin, IL, seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Full-Time Teacher to join our team. Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Hours: 9:00-5:00
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum
- Create a safe, fun, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff
- Meet the physical, social, and emotional needs of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years
- Assist with feeding, diapering, supervision, and daily care routines
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
Qualifications
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Must meet DCFS qualifications for an Early Childhood Teacher and School-Age Worker
- Must meet all DCFS and CCAP requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of childcare or teaching experience required
- Reliable, nurturing, and professional
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
- Previous experience in a childcare or classroom setting
