Outdoor Network is seeking an experienced Marine Technician to join our Government Services Division in Lake Placid, FL.
This is not a traditional retail dealership role.

What You’ll Be DoingOutboard Service & Diagnostics
- Diagnose, service, and repair outboard engines (Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki preferred)
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems with a high degree of accuracy
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure fleet readiness
- Complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer, safety, and regulatory standards
Rigging, Repowers & System Installations
- Rig outboard engines and supporting components
- Install controls, wiring, steering systems, and marine electronics
- Support repowers and system upgrades on government vessels
- Ensure all installations are completed safely and to specification
Fleet Support & Operational Readiness
- Perform mechanical repairs and support ongoing fleet maintenance
- Assist with staging and preparation of vessels for deployment and operational use
- Maintain detailed service documentation and work records
- Support mission readiness through accurate, reliable technical execution
Shop & Team Support
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
- Work closely with leadership and teammates to complete assignments efficiently
- Follow structured workflows and operational procedures
- Support additional duties as needed across the division
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of marine technician experience preferred
- Strong experience with outboard engines and marine systems
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues independently
- Manufacturer certifications (Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki) preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within structured processes
- Team-oriented mindset and willingness to take direction
- Valid driver’s license required
Work Expectations
- Ability to work in both shop and outdoor environments
- Comfortable performing hands-on physical work throughout the day
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and perform physical tasks as required
- Professional, reliable, and consistent work ethic

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
