Job Summary
The Shop Foreman will oversee daily operations for a sheet metal and HVAC fabrication shop. This hands-on leadership role requires a well-rounded professional who can manage workflow, support multiple departments, lead shop personnel, maintain quality standards, and step in wherever needed to keep production moving.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily shop operations, pr oduction schedules, manpower, and job priorities
- Lead, train, and support employees across fabrication, assembly, welding, material handling, shipping/receiving, and general shop operations
- Review blueprints, shop drawings, work orders, and material requirements to ensure accurate fabrication
- Coordinate production of HVAC ductwork, fittings, curbs, plenums, transitions, and custom sheet metal products
- Monitor workmanship, production output, safety practices, equipment use, and shop organization
- Assist with operating shop equipment and performing fabrication duties as needed
Requirements
- 3-5 years of sheet metal fabrication and/or commercial HVAC experience
- Prior shop foreman experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC ductwork, sheet metal fabrication, and custom fittings
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and work orders
- Experience with shop equipment such as brakes, shears, plasma tables, coil lines, Pittsburgh machines, welders, and forklifts
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
