Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks to deliver freight efficiently and reliably across designated routes. Your expertise in handling different trailer types, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and dump trucks, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions, adhering strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Drive a variety of vehicle types such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks for diverse freight deliveries.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Manage route driving responsibilities with precision, maintaining schedules and optimizing delivery routes for maximum efficiency.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspections in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses, route changes, or potential issues during transit.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight transportation.
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission trucks and various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Demonstrated ability to load & unload freight safely and efficiently using forklifts or other loading equipment when required.
- Knowledge of route planning and route driving best practices to ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations.
- Valid CDL license with necessary endorsements for different vehicle types; experience with tractor-trailer operations is preferred.
- Prior experience handling refrigerated or specialized freight is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $23.59 - $28.41 per hour
