Job description
This role focuses on secure data erasure and accurate inventory auditing of enterprise IT hardware. The IT Asset Processing Technician will work with a team of technicians to process incoming devices including storage systems, servers, laptops, desktop computers, and mobile devices. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable with ERP data entry, and capable of following established procedures in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.

Schedule:
Our working schedule prioritizes work-life balance. We work Monday–Friday from 8:00am–4:30pm with no surprise overtime. When overtime is needed, it is not mandatory, and we would ask if you are available.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform secure data erasure on enterprise storage systems, servers, networking equipment (e.g., firewalls, routers, access points), and end-user devices (Laptops, Computers, Mobile Devices) in accordance with industry’s best practices.
- Inventory incoming IT equipment in the company ERP system, capturing key device information including make, model, serial number, specifications, and condition.
- Conduct functional testing on various peripherals including monitors, audio/visual components, printers, and other devices.
- Support internal asset management systems, including accurate data entry and equipment tracking.
- Identify and/or remove components as required.
- Adhere to established technical and operational procedures to ensure quality and efficiency
Education, Experience, & Training
- 2-year associates or technical degree is required
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience as a computer technician or related position
- CompTIA A+, Security +, Network + certification preferred
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, and PXE environments.
Skills & Abilities
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and research skills with a proactive mindset.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
