Evening Closing Supervisor & Car Wash Attendant
Classy Chassis Express Car Wash & Detail Center is hiring a dependable, hard-working Evening Closing Attendant. This position helps operate the car wash during the final two hours of business and is responsible for thoroughly cleaning, organizing, and preparing the entire facility for the following day.
This is an active, hands-on position for someone who takes pride in leaving a workplace spotless, organized, stocked, and ready for business.
Primary ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service and Wash Operations
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional assistance.
- Guide, prepare, and safely load vehicles onto the wash conveyor.
- Assist with vehicle preparation and other wash duties as needed.
- Help customers with unlimited wash memberships, account questions, payment issues, and basic troubleshooting.
- Communicate equipment or customer concerns to the closing supervisor or manager.
- Maintain safe traffic flow around the pay station, prep area, tunnel entrance, and parking lot.
- Support the team wherever needed during the final hours of operation.
Nightly Facility Cleaning
- Sweep and mop offices, employee areas, customer areas, restrooms, chemical rooms, storage rooms, and other assigned spaces.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, mirrors, counters, floors, and restroom fixtures.
- Empty trash cans, replace liners, and properly dispose of waste.
- Clean doors, windows, countertops, work surfaces, and frequently touched areas.
- Remove litter and debris from the parking lot, vacuum area, tunnel entrance, and surrounding property.
- Keep floor drains, wash bays, and work areas free of excessive dirt and debris.
- Return tools, supplies, cones, signs, and equipment to their designated locations.
Tunnel and Equipment Cleaning
- Work with another employee to thoroughly clean and detail the express wash tunnel every night.
- Spray down and clean tunnel walls, arches, equipment surfaces, conveyor areas, and other assigned components.
- Remove built-up dirt, mud, soap, and debris from designated areas.
- Clean prep equipment, pressure-washing equipment, vacuums, hoses, nozzles, brushes, and other tools.
- Follow all safety procedures when working around chemicals, moving equipment, wet surfaces, and the conveyor.
- Never enter or clean restricted equipment areas unless the wash is properly shut down and the required safety procedures have been followed.
- Inspect equipment while cleaning and immediately report leaks, damage, unusual noises, chemical problems, or other concerns.
- Verify that designated equipment, lights, water sources, and appliances are properly shut down at closing.
- Clean out vacuum separators and empty trash bins
Laundry and Detail Preparation
- Wash, dry, sort, fold, and properly store all towels.
- Separate towels according to their intended use to prevent contamination.
- Refill approved bottles with the correct chemicals and ensure they are properly labeled.
- Restock towels, applicators, brushes, bags, air fresheners, cleaning products, and other detail supplies.
- Clean, organize, and fully restock detail carts.
- Clean extractors, steamers, vacuums, buffers, hoses, brushes, and other detailing equipment after use.
- Empty and clean equipment tanks, filters, collection containers, and attachments as required.
- Prepare enough clean towels, filled bottles, and organized supplies for the next morning’s opening crew.
- Notify management when chemicals, towels, supplies, or equipment are running low or need replacement.
Closing Accountability
- Complete every item on the assigned closing checklist.
- Perform a final walkthrough to confirm the property is clean, organized, secured, and ready to open.
- Check that chemical containers are closed and stored correctly.
- Confirm that doors, gates, storage areas, and other assigned access points are properly secured.
- Report unfinished tasks, damaged equipment, safety hazards, low inventory, customer incidents, and maintenance concerns before leaving.
- Never leave until all assigned closing duties have been completed and approved by the closing supervisor or manager.

- Previous car wash, detailing, janitorial, or customer-service experience is helpful but not required.
Physical Requirements
Applicants must be able to:
- Work outdoors in heat, cold, humidity, and wet conditions.
- Stand and walk for most of the shift.
- Bend, reach, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
- Safely lift and carry supplies, towels, trash, hoses, and equipment.
- Work around moving vehicles, loud equipment, water, and cleaning chemicals.
- Wear required personal protective equipment and slip-resistant footwear.
This is an important position within our operation. The morning team depends on the closing crew to leave the wash clean, stocked, organized, safe, and fully prepared for the next business day. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities and does not consider the job finished until the entire property is properly closed.
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
