Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections using automotive diagnostics tools to assess damage or mechanical issues prior to towing.
- Load, unload, and secure vehicles using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, or forklifts to prevent damage during transit.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns professionally.
- Manage conflict situations calmly and effectively when dealing with distressed or impatient customers.
- Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, including logs of vehicle details, locations, and times.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or diagnostics when necessary to assist with vehicle recovery or minor issues on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating tow trucks or similar commercial driving vehicles; valid commercial driver’s license required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with manual transmissions and automotive systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to load & unload vehicles safely using flatbed or other specialized equipment.
- Experience with conflict management techniques to handle challenging customer interactions professionally.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to tow truck operations and vehicle recovery procedures.
- Prior mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive repair processes is a plus.
