Seasonal Part-Time Bellhop / Elevator Operator
Position Summary
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented Seasonal Part-Time Bellhop/Elevator Operator to join our hospitality team during our busiest season. This position plays an important role in creating a memorable first impression by warmly welcoming guests, assisting with luggage, and operating our historic staff-operated elevator. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people, takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a warm, professional, and welcoming attitude.
- Assist guests with luggage during arrival, departure, and upon request.
- Safely and courteously operate the property's historic staff-operated elevator.
- Provide information about the hotel, amenities, and local attractions.
- Escort guests to their rooms as needed and offer assistance with directions throughout the property.
- Help maintain an organized and welcoming lobby and entrance area.
- Coordinate with the front desk and housekeeping teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate any concerns to management.
- Follow all safety procedures while handling luggage and operating the elevator.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry luggage weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak business hours.
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
Schedule
- Seasonal, part-time position.
- Primarily scheduled during peak guest arrival and departure times, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
