Infinity Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to clients with developmental disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships while helping individuals develop independence and participate in their community.
Required Qualifications
- Must reside in Virginia
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable personal vehicle with proof of insurance (driving is required)
- Ability to successfully pass all required background checks
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Experience completing daily documentation (experience with Therap is highly preferred)
- Ability to stoop, bend, stand, lift, and assist as needed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience providing in-home support or working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Available Schedules
Weekday Option
- Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Weekend Option
- Saturday | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Sunday | 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours Available
- Part-Time: 20–29 hours per week
- Full-Time: 30–40 hours per week
Pay Schedule
Position Responsibilities
As a Direct Support Professional, you will assist the individual in achieving goals identified in their Individual Service Plan (ISP) while promoting independence, safety, and community inclusion.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct support and supervision
- Assisting with activities of daily living and personal care, when needed
- Teaching and reinforcing independent living skills
- Transporting the individual to appointments and community activities
- Supporting participation in recreational and social outings
- Monitoring and reporting changes in health or behavior
- Completing accurate daily documentation and progress notes
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment
- Responding appropriately in emergency situations
- Building a positive, respectful, and encouraging relationship with the individual
