Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Excavator Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating excavators and other heavy machinery to perform excavation, grading, and utility work on various construction sites. Your expertise will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and related construction machinery such as loaders, backhoes, and water trucks to perform excavation, grading, and utility installation tasks
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment, ensuring all machinery is in optimal working condition in compliance with safety procedures
- Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe work environment
- Assist with construction utility work, including utility locating and trenching for underground utilities
- Support construction site activities by performing heavy equipment operation with precision and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while adhering to safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks in a construction environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Construction site experience with familiarity in excavation, grading, and utility work
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures
- Ability to locate utilities using specialized tools and techniques for safe excavation
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Pay: $26.31 - $31.69 per hour
