Job Description
Metro PT/Ignite Rehab is looking for an experienced and reliable Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to work closely with, and under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. We're looking for someone to treat per diem in Somerset County. You will assist with occupational therapy treatments and procedures and may, in accordance with state laws, assist in development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatments.

Responsibilities:
-
Implements the occupational therapy plan of care as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.

Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.

Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate occupational therapy techniques.

Ability to travel to and from the homes of your patients throughout your given territory.

Strong communication skills between patients, support staff, and management, including timely responses via text, email, phone, etc.

Must be willing to treat geriatric patients.
Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program

Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of New Jersey.

Must have a minimum of 2 yrs of experience

Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications.

Home health experience is preferred but not required - We will provide you with a mentor to help with documentation and compliance.

Ability to travel to patients’ homes within the assigned geographic territory
