As a key member of our fitness and youth development programs, you will deliver expert instruction in various martial arts disciplines while ensuring safety and enjoyment for all participants.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging martial arts classes, demonstrating techniques in disciplines such as Karate, Judo, Taekwondo, or other styles.
- Develop tailored lesson plans that accommodate different skill levels and age groups, including children and teens.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing proper technique and behavior management strategies.
- Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and confidence.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including AED operation and first aid/CPR procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients, parents, and team members to track progress and address any concerns.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth through positive coaching and leadership.
Requirements
- Proven experience in martial arts training or teaching, with proficiency in disciplines such as Karate, Judo, or other martial arts styles.
- Prior experience working with children or youth in sports or educational settings.
- Strong communication skills to effectively instruct students and engage with parents or guardians.
- Certification in first aid and CPR; AED operation certification preferred.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster discipline and respect in class settings.
- Background in sports coaching or physical education is highly desirable.
- Ability to demonstrate physical fitness through activities like swimming, climbing, or other sports-specific training instruction.
