Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Supervisor to oversee the day to day operations of the billing and revenue cycle department, ensuring accurate, timely, and complaint pricessing of patient services. This position plays a key role in training staff, resolving escalated billing issues,supporting payer transitions, and maintaining alignment with organizational goals. This role is a key link between clinical and administrative teams directly impacting the practice's financial performance and cash flow. The ideal candidate wll bring strong leadership and a collaborative approach to process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee billing and collections staff and prior authorization staff across all practice locations
- Oversee training, cross training and onboarding support
- Oversee workflow queues, task assignments, and ensure timely completion of claims, denials, refunds, prior authorizations, and audits
- Ensure daily posting, EOD processes, and reconciliation are completed accurately
- Serve as an escalation point for complex billing issues, patient disputes, and insurance denials
- Audit billing practies for accuracy and compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies
- Serve as liason between billing, clinical, surgical and administrative departments and support payer transitions and new payer onboarding
- Track and report key performance metrics (collections, turnaround time, denials) and present progress reports to Director of Finance and Reimbursement.
- Identify trends, implement process improvements, and adopt new tools or systems to enhance effeciency. Work with Director of Finance and/or Project Manager.
- Stay current on payer policy changes, coding updates, and regulatory requirements; comunicate updates to team
- Conduct quality reviews to ensure billing and collections accuracy; provide coaching to staff
- Payer Contract Negotiations
- Credentialing of physicians
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the Director of Finance and Reimbursement and organizational revenue goals
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management
- 5+ years in a supervisory or lead role required
- Experience with reveue cycle platforms
- Ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable while fostering a collaborative, solutions-oriented environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
