A civil engineering and surveying company in eastern North Carolina is seeking a Land Surveyor to join their team, splitting time between the field and the office. Land Surveyor Responsibilities:
- Work alongside a survey manager on field surveys and CAD drawings
- Support field crews of two to three people on local job sites
- Travel daily between the office and job sites, primarily within the Greenville area and toward the coast
- Occasionally travel out of state for a day or two, roughly once or twice a year
- Complete CAD drawing work in the office, especially during inclement weather
- Learn and take on more responsibility over time as skills develop
- Communicate effectively with the survey manager and broader team
Land Surveyor Requirements:
- 5 to 10 years of relevant field and office survey experience
- PLS license strongly preferred, though candidates actively working toward licensure will be considered
- Strong computation and computer skills, including AutoCAD and GPS survey systems
- Comfortable working both in the field and in the office
