We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and crisis intervention techniques.
- Implement motivational interviewing strategies to foster client engagement and promote positive behavioral change.
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, case managers, educators, and community agencies to ensure holistic support.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within electronic medical records (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards.
- Collect data for clinical research projects focused on mental health outcomes, addiction counseling efficacy, or developmental disabilities.
- Manage crisis situations effectively by providing immediate intervention and safety planning for clients experiencing acute distress or trauma.
- Stay current with best practices in behavioral health, psychopharmacology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and specialized areas such as Alzheimer's care or working with individuals with autism or disabilities.
Skills
- Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, crisis management, and addiction counseling.
- Strong experience working with children & family counseling, pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders.
- Skilled in motivational interviewing, behavioral health interventions, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and special education strategies.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient documentation; knowledge of medical records management and medical terminology is essential.
- Ability to conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9/10 codes; experience with CPT coding is preferred.
- Excellent case management skills with the ability to coordinate services across home & community care settings while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Experience working in hospital environments or clinical research settings; familiarity with PTSD care, Geriatrics, Alzheimer's care or working with individuals with disabilities enhances your candidacy.
- Strong communication skills for effective patient care delivery in individual/group counseling sessions; adept at crisis intervention and social work practices within behavioral health contexts.
