EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
An employee in this classification cleans buildings and offices owned or leased by the City. The employee sweeps, mops, waxes, and buffs floors; changes light bulbs, cleans lenses and light fixtures; washes walls, windows, and blinds; dusts surfaces and other areas; caulks and paints; maintains restrooms; sets up auditoriums and meeting rooms for various meetings and functions; cleans mops, pails, and other equipment as necessary. In general, this employee does whatever is necessary to keep City facilities sanitary and neat. The employee may accept deliveries for City facilities and may distribute supplies to City offices. This employee will assist staff in City facilities. This employee performs related duties as assigned. The job requires lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
