Hoover Automotive & Performance is looking to fill a position for an a hourly shop hand/general maintenance tech OR an experienced flat rate technician. Either position will need to filled by someone that has a passion for the automotive industry and performance aftermarket industry! We are unlike many automotive repair shops, in that we not only perform diagnostics, maintenances, and general repair, but we also offer (and have become known for) aftermarket accessory installation, lift kit installs, repair work and diagnosis on already modified vehicles, and specialize in Asian and Domestic branded vehicles with emphasis on Toyota/Lexus. We do NOT work on ANY European vehicle brands.
We require a technician to not only be professional and skilled at his craft, but also to be courteous, trustworthy, honest, and have a willingness to learn. We respect our customers and every vehicle as if it was our own personal pride and joy. We would ask for applicants to have at least 3 years of professional work experience, have the ability to diagnose both electrical and mechanical concerns, and have their own basic tools. Pay is based on experience, certifications, and skillset. Pay is Flat rate for a technician, so there is no limit to earning potential! Pay would be hourly for a general maintenance technician/shop hand. Valid drivers license with no previous DUI, Reckless driving, ect. required. Background check will be performed.
Common work performed here includes brake repairs, AC diagnosis and repair, check engine light diagnosis, suspension noise concern and/or lift kit installation, fluid services, pre-purchase inspections, and engine maintenance work.
Special skills and knowledge for systems such as CAN diagnosis, Oscilloscope, drivetrain rebuilding, internal transmission diagnosis and repairs, software programming, etc is HIGHLY desired and pay will be compensated for these abilities.
