Equipment Maintenance Technician

Position Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Technician supports manufacturing operations by performing preventive, corrective, and troubleshooting maintenance on industrial production equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role ensures equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, supports production continuity, and maintains compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesPreventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and replace mechanical and electrical components.
- Execute scheduled maintenance tasks to maximize equipment uptime.
Equipment Troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot failures involving motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, valves, sensors, actuators, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Identify root causes of equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Support emergency breakdown response to minimize production downtime.
Automation & Controls Support
- Support automated production equipment and manufacturing systems.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, relays, HMIs, and electrical control panels.
- Escalate advanced programming or engineering issues when necessary.
Production Support
- Support production line startup, shutdown, changeovers, and equipment adjustments.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to maintain stable manufacturing operations.
- Respond to maintenance calls during production shifts.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain maintenance records, repair logs, PM documentation, and downtime reports.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Support equipment reliability improvement initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all plant safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
- Maintain 5S workplace standards and housekeeping requirements.
- Comply with quality, environmental, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or technical diploma in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance environments.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and equipment documentation.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and emergency breakdown support as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in battery manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or automated industrial production.
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
- Knowledge of conveyors, robotics, motors, VFDs, sensors, and production equipment.
- Lean Manufacturing / 5S / TPM experience.
- Root cause analysis and downtime reduction experience.
