Overview:
Chenega Integrated Security Solutions is seeking a motivated Electronic Technician I to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of secure electronic and communications systems for a government customer. This position provides an excellent opportunity for an early-career technician to apply foundational electronics and telecommunications knowledge while supporting mission-critical security operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine electronic maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks following established procedures and work instructions.

Assist with replacing electronic components, wiring circuits, and repairing basic electronic equipment.

Conduct testing and diagnostics using electronic test equipment such as multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.

Record and document test results, measurements, and observations accurately.

Support troubleshooting and quality control efforts by analyzing test data and identifying equipment issues.

Follow technical standards, safety requirements, and quality procedures during all maintenance activities.

Work under the guidance of supervisors or senior technicians and support team maintenance operations.

Ensure completed work meets accuracy and compliance standards and is ready for inspection or review.
Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret clearance

Accredited 2‑ or 4‑year Engineering Technology degree, or
-
Military veteran with technical training and 4+ years of relevant technical service, or
-
Currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering Technology program with basic electronics coursework, or
-
Accredited Engineering Technology certificate with 6+ semester hours in electronics‑related courses

Basic electronics fundamentals (or equivalent)

Tradecraft or vendor‑certified training in at least one applicable electronic system

2+ years supporting at least two of the following systems:
- Radio or secure network communications

Electronic physical security
-
Intrusion detection or access control

Video security systems
OR -
Military veterans may qualify with 8+ years of specialized experience in one system listed above.

Working knowledge of electronic theory and electronic equipment.

Experience reading schematics and using electronic test equipment.

Hands‑on experience testing, troubleshooting, installing, maintaining, or repairing electronic systems.

Foundational knowledge of AC/DC circuits, solid‑state devices, RF/antenna theory, digital electronics, and power systems.
