Project Controls Specialist / Project Coordinator
Pay Range: $34.00 – $45.00 per hour
Overview
We are seeking a detail‑driven and highly organized Project Controls Specialist to support the successful delivery of a large, complex capital program. In this role, you will play a key part in coordinating project activities, maintaining critical project documentation, and ensuring alignment across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys solving problems through data, and excels at keeping complex workstreams moving smoothly.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, update, and maintain essential project‑control documents, including management plans, schedules, dashboards, interface logs, and change‑control registers.
- Coordinate cross‑functional activities, ensuring engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams remain aligned and informed.
- Track project progress across scope, schedule, cost, and risk, identifying issues early and supporting timely resolution.
- Prepare clear, data‑driven reports, metrics, and visualizations for leadership review.
- Support the change‑control process, ensuring all revisions are documented, communicated, and properly integrated.
- Manage assigned work packages or project workstreams, ensuring deliverables meet quality and schedule expectations.
- Facilitate internal and external stakeholder coordination, documenting decisions, actions, and follow‑ups.
- Maintain project databases, validate data inputs, and contribute to continuous improvement of project‑controls tools and processes.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience supporting large infrastructure or complex capital projects.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and project‑controls tools such as Primavera, MS Project, and Power BI.
- Ability to manage details while coordinating across multiple teams and priorities.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced, evolving project environment.
