Description: Responsible for operating the doublebacker at wet end of Corrugator.

Must be able to work safely!

Sets up glue station and mill rolls to be run at wet end.

Assist single facer operator in threading up machine.
-
Corrects any first line warp problems.
-
Interfaces with dry end concerning quality of corrugated being run.

Make any necessary corrections to non-conforming corrugated problems.
Duties Include:
-
Safely: setup, run, and perform PM on the double-facer and single-facer machines.
-
Prepare the correct rolls for the single-facer and double-facer.
-
Coordinate production needs to produce quality corrugated sheets to next operation.
-
Responsible for performing all quality checks and performing corrective actions as needed to ensure quality sheet production.

Responsible for insuring accurate recording of roll stock, identification and quality of product.
Requirements:
-
Must become proficient at running the single-facer and double-backer and starch system.
-
Accurately identify product quality issue and communicate corrective action.
-
Perform math problems and possess problem-solving skills.
-
Organization and communication skills are needed to perform this continuous operation.
-
The candidate must be able to learn all other areas of this machine center in order to rotate through lunches and breaks.

Individual must be able to read factory hard cards and CAD's.
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.

Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.

Able to apply concepts of high school math.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED.
Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:

Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.
-
Prior Doublebacker operating experience.
-
6 -12 months experience on the wet end of the corrugator.
