Job Title: BudtenderJob Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable, customer-focused Budtender to join our dispensary team. The ideal candidate is passionate about cannabis education, committed to exceptional customer service, and dedicated to maintaining compliance with Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) regulations. As a Budtender, you will assist patients in selecting products that best meet their needs while ensuring a welcoming, safe, and professional shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service.
- Verify patient identification and medical marijuana licenses in accordance with OMMA regulations.
- Educate patients on cannabis products, including flower, concentrates, edibles, tinctures, topicals, and accessories.
- Make product recommendations based on patient preferences and desired effects while avoiding medical claims.
- Accurately process transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain accurate inventory and assist with receiving, stocking, labeling, and organizing products.
- Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Follow all state regulations, company policies, and security procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Stay informed on new products, promotions, and industry trends.
- Handle customer questions and concerns professionally and respectfully.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous retail, customer service, or cannabis industry experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer and cash-handling experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of cannabis products and consumption methods is preferred; willingness to learn is required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
