Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
RiverPointe Surgery Center is seeking a skilled and dependable Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our outpatient surgical team in Elkhart, Indiana. *$7,500 sign on bonus*
The CST will work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and other team members to support safe, efficient, patient-centered surgical care. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a collaborative environment and takes pride in maintaining a well-organized, prepared operating room.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies for scheduled procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures
- Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, counts, specimen handling, and room turnover
- Ensure appropriate supplies, implants, and equipment are available and functioning properly
- Support efficient case flow while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety and infection prevention
- Participate in cleaning, stocking, and maintaining surgical areas and equipment
- Collaborate professionally with physicians, nursing staff, anesthesia providers, and support staff
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
- Current BLS certification required, or must be obtained upon hire
- Prior operating room or ambulatory surgery center experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and infection prevention practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
