Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor
New Solutions Staffing is seeking Experienced Registered Nurse Supervisors for a long-term care nursing home assignment in Kingsbridge Heights, Bronx.
Position Overview
The RN Supervisor oversees nursing staff and clinical operations on assigned shifts and ensures safe, effective, and compliant resident care. This role includes staff supervision, clinical oversight, infection control, documentation compliance, and coordination with facility leadership. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON), Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), or Nurse Manager, the RN Supervisor maintains continuity of care and regulatory compliance throughout the assigned shift.

Assignment Information
- 12-Hour AM Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 12-Hour PM Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Must work Every Other Weekend (EOW) (both Saturday and Sunday)
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum two (2) years of RN experience in a long-term care nursing home setting; Minimum one (1) year of RN supervisory experience
- BLS Certification
- BSN degree (Preferred)
- Experience with New York State Department of Health regulations (Preferred)
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Professional Liability (Malpractice) Insurance
- Completion of New York State Infection Control and Barrier Precautions training
- Knowledge of long-term care and nursing home regulations
- Strong leadership, clinical judgment, and communication skills
- Ability to respond calmly and decisively in emergency situations
Responsibilities
- Supervise Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) during assigned shifts
- Assign resident care based on acuity, staffing levels, and staff competency
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and real-time support to nursing staff
- Conduct rounds to monitor resident care, safety, and quality
- Identify and respond promptly to changes in resident condition
- Ensure accurate and timely nursing documentation
- Ensure compliance with NYSDOH, CMS, Joint Commission, and facility standards
- Enforce infection prevention and control practices
- Manage clinical escalations and emergency situations
- Communicate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, families, and facility leadership
- Support admissions, discharges, and shift-to-shift handoff
