Job Corps is a residential education and job training Program for students 16-24 years of age. We are looking for an individual to provide hardware and software maintenance, training, and technical assistance for computer and communication systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical assistance and training on computer and communications systems and software applications.
- Identifies communications systems, computer hardware, and software problems and monitors those problems until they are resolved. Assists staff with application problems and responds to and resolves end-user technical problems.
- Assists in the installation and maintenance of new computers, networks, software applications, and communications systems equipment.
- Develops job aids, checklists, training, and resource materials for tasks performed in software.
- Ensures technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software.
- Works with Job Corps Data Center personnel and the Corporate IT Manager on matters relating to systemic problems, modifications, or improvements.
- Ensures the accountability of all computers and related items.
- Assists in mentoring students interested in Information Technology careers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in related field preferred or a combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis
- Two years of relevant experience preferred.
