Key Responsibilities
Product Analysis – Market Analysis:
–Champions the prioritization of products/features based on evaluations of business value, feasibility, and internal and/or external user needs.
–Works with highly valued customers to ensure seamless alignment between the customer, the market, internal stakeholders, and Oracle's goals and strategy.
–Champions the analysis of market trends and the competitive landscape to set strategic and competitive positioning.
–Leads the engagements of key strategic customers, non-customers, partners, and industry analysts to obtain market information and discover opportunities for the product portfolio/product area.
Product Analysis – Solution Identification:
–Establishes strategies for identifying customers' unmet or unknown needs, market opportunities, and regulatory requirements.
–Influences internal teams in developing problem statements for highly complex products and forming data-driven hypotheses for breakthrough new products.
–Owns and champions the solutioning process by strategically partnering with internal and external stakeholders to identify solutions.
–Spearheads the evaluation and validation of different solutions to make informed decisions on enhancing existing products/features or introducing new products/features.
–Leads the creation and maintenance of critical and complex solution artifacts (e.g., regulatory requirements, functional and non-functional requirements).
Product Ownership – Product Development and Roadmapping:
–Drives the Line of Business’s (LOB) product lifecycle approach, setting industry standards for excellence.
–Provides strategic guidance to team members on maintaining the roadmap for multiple products/features, aligning them with Oracle’s vision and market demands.
–Establishes feature requirements, resources, and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and empowering internal stakeholders.
–Takes a leadership role in driving delivery excellence with key stakeholders, managing risks and resolving complex issues to ensure project success.
–Interprets existing metrics (e.g., Service Requests, bugs raised, customer feedback, customer volumes) and market insights, driving strategic decision-making and optimizing product development in dynamic environments.
–Sets expectations for product quality by leading the creation and review of user stories and acceptance criteria.
–Reviews and shapes features or experiences prioritized in the roadmap, strategically aligning them with success criteria and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
Product Ownership – Product Leadership and Influence:
–Acts as an innovation leader within the Line of Business (LOB) and sets the overall strategy and direction of products, driving initiatives and long-term vision.
–Directs the development of products to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve business goals.
–Champions the adoption of new methodologies for new feature development, leveraging agile and continuous-delivery practices.
Alignment and Collaboration:
–Drives the sharing of strategic insights with cross-functional partners and Lines of Business (LOB), ensuring alignment and fostering a culture of collaboration.
–Anticipates and addresses potential pushback from stakeholders, leveraging extensive subject matter expertise and data-driven arguments to drive consensus and decision-making.
–Guides collaboration efforts with engineering and senior colleagues to execute innovative solutions tied to OKRs and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
–Takes full ownership of driving transformative business impact across Lines of Business (LOB), overseeing success criteria and performance metrics (e.g., OKRs, KPIs) for multiple products/features.
–Provides insight into parameters for user testing and champions the iteration and enhancement of products based on test results.
Customer-Centricity:
–Champions the customer's needs throughout the product lifecycle, proactively anticipating and addressing complex customer needs.
–Proactively seeks out customers to gather comprehensive feedback and conducts extensive research to understand their experiences with Oracle's products and services.
–Collaborates strategically with highly valued customers to align Oracle product capabilities with customers' evolving business goals.
–Leads efforts to capture, analyze, and synthesize intricate customer requirements, defining new product capabilities and driving the development of feature designs.
–Provides subject matter expertise and guidance to ensure products deliver exceptional value and exceed product consumer expectations following implementations.
–Reviews and prioritizes critical customer issues to ensure customer satisfaction and product quality, partnering with product development for advanced resolution.
Product Release – Go-to-Market:
–Leads the development of release overviews, field presentations, and demos for the field team, providing guidance to junior staff as needed.
–Strategically recruits and provides robust support to key early adopters to validate and enhance product solutions.
–Drives the development of thorough and detailed user documentation, providing expert-level oversight as needed.
–Defines and tracks key product metrics to monitor adoption for multiple product lines, leveraging data insights to drive product improvement.
–Presents product demonstrations to highly valued internal and/or external customers and partners, industry analysts, and field teams, showcasing the innovation and value of new releases.
