Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through treatment plans, financial options, and insurance processes with enthusiasm and clarity.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling, ensuring optimal utilization of clinical resources while accommodating patient needs.
- Verify insurance benefits, submit claims, and follow up on reimbursements using systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks to streamline billing and collections.
- Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with dental providers to facilitate treatment planning, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete for efficient case management.
- Oversee financial management tasks such as budgeting, billing adjustments, and managing accounts receivable to support practice profitability.
- Supervise administrative staff and support human resources functions related to clinic operations, fostering a positive team environment.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator or in a similar dental office management role with extensive knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Demonstrated expertise in medical office administration including billing, coding, insurance verification, and claims processing using platforms like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Strong background in fiscal management—budgeting, financial reporting, and managing practice resources effectively.
- Supervisory experience overseeing office staff or administrative teams within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks; experience with managed care programs and HIPAA regulations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical records management, nursing or acute care experience is advantageous but not required.
