Ivy League Kids is seeking an organized, proactive, and people-focused Human Resources & Training Manager to support our growing team. This position will play a key role in employee onboarding, training and compliance, employee relations, and leadership support across our organization.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people, is confident handling employee matters, and can create strong systems to ensure employees and managers have the training, resources, and support they need to be successful.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Onboarding & Compliance
- Manage the employee onboarding process from hire through completion.
- Ensure all required employment documents, background checks, certifications, and onboarding requirements are completed and properly maintained.
- Maintain accurate and organized employee records.
- Monitor employee credentials, certifications, and required training and proactively follow up on outstanding or expiring requirements.
- Partner with leadership to continuously improve the onboarding experience.
Employee Training & Development
- Facilitate new-hire orientation and ongoing employee training.
- Maintain training materials, resources, and online training programs.
- Track training completion across the organization and provide leadership with regular compliance updates.
- Assist with manager and leadership training related to communication, performance management, policies, documentation, and employee relations.
- Identify opportunities for additional employee development and training.
Employee Relations & Leadership Support
- Serve as an HR resource for managers and leadership when employee concerns arise.
- Coach managers on addressing attendance, performance, conduct, communication, and policy concerns.
- Assist with employee investigations, corrective actions, performance improvement plans, and documentation.
- Help ensure employee issues are handled consistently, professionally, and in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Escalate significant or high-risk employee matters to senior leadership as appropriate.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture.
Recruitment & Retention
- Support recruiting efforts for open positions across the organization.
- Help improve hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Monitor turnover and identify trends or opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct or coordinate employee feedback and exit interviews when appropriate.
- Partner with leadership to identify staffing and workforce needs.
HR Administration & Systems
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, employee handbooks, and training resources.
- Help ensure HR practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements.
- Maintain HR and training systems and ensure employee information remains accurate.
- Track HR metrics such as hiring, turnover, training completion, attendance trends, and employee retention.
- Assist leadership with additional HR initiatives as the organization continues to grow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of Education or Human Resources experience preferred.
- Experience supporting hourly employees and/or a multi-location organization strongly preferred.
- Experience with employee relations, onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- Comfortable having difficult conversations and providing guidance to managers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

We are looking for an HR professional who wants to be an active part of our organization—someone who can build relationships with employees and managers while also creating the structure, accountability, and training necessary to support a growing team.
Salary: $60,000–$70,000 annually, based on experience.
