We're currently hiring a Community Engagement Associate to join our growing Charleston team. This is an entry level opportunity designed for individuals who enjoy working with people, are motivated by personal and professional growth, and are interested in building valuable experience in fundraising, community outreach, and relationship-focused sales.
Whether your background is in customer service, hospitality, retail, events, athletics, communications, or you're looking to launch your professional career, we provide comprehensive hands-on training and ongoing mentorship to help you succeed.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Represent nonprofit partners at community events, retail campaigns, and outreach locations throughout the Charleston area.
- Build genuine relationships through face-to-face community outreach.
- Educate community members about nonprofit missions, programs, and fundraising initiatives.
- Inspire individuals to become long-term supporters through ethical, relationship-based fundraising.
- Develop communication, leadership, and consultative sales skills while working alongside experienced mentors.
- Help execute community outreach campaigns that increase awareness and financial support for nonprofit organizations.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve campaign goals while delivering an outstanding public experience.
- Maintain accurate records of supporter interactions and campaign activity.
