Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, physiology, and specific pain management goals
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain treatment plans, gather feedback, and ensure comfort throughout sessions
- Maintain detailed records of each session, including client progress and treatment adjustments, adhering to medical terminology standards
- Promote patient service by creating a relaxing environment and ensuring exceptional customer service at every touchpoint
- Stay current with industry best practices and certifications such as CPR and relevant medical terminology updates
- Collaborate with team members to develop comprehensive wellness plans that incorporate massage therapy techniques aligned with client goals
Experience
- Proven experience as a licensed massage therapist with expertise in Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and pain management techniques
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately assess patient needs and customize treatments accordingly
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients about their treatment options and progress
- Experience working with diverse client populations and understanding the nuances of patient assessment for optimal results
