Position: HR and Personnel Support
Position Summary: HR and Personnel Support will report to the VP of Administration & VP of Safety. The primary responsibility is to work in HR and Safety & Recruiting, as well as assist other departments as needed to ensure efficient day-to-day administrative support.
Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday. Hours based on individual level. Some after-hours and/or travel may be required.
Position Expectations (may include but not limited to):
1. Accountable for providing GRAND CHAMPION Customer Service.
2. Teach, coach, and guide team members to uphold Brenny’s culture, build relationships, and identify training needs.
3. Provide our team guidance on HR & safety processes and laws (HOS, Pre/Post trips, FMLA, STD, etc.).
4. HR & Safety clerical-related duties (scan, file, and keep all required team member records filed & paperwork clean).
5. Assist HR & safety department as directed w/safety meetings, MTA involved safety council meetings, benefits presentations, etc.
6. Assist with weekly driver email/recording, driver safety program, and fuel bonus program.
7. Assist with Safety Banquet, parades & parties.
8. Assist HR & Safety with handbook updates; coordinate and update new hire training, orientation, and related materials; maintain training schedules; & support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, & development efforts, including maintaining recruiting materials and participating in trade shows and recruiting events as needed.
9. Assist HR as needed. May include, but is not limited to, reviews, disciplinary actions, interviews, and job postings. Make sure these are completed promptly.
10. Support HR & Safety legal compliance, ensure drivers meet FMCSA/DOT standards/company safety standards, schedule DOT inspections, and hold maintenance technicians accountable.
11. Assist with tracking driver miles for payroll, process timecards, time sheets, and time off requests.
12. Assist with and/or handle claims/incidents/accidents & keep VP of Safety updated.
13. Resolve driver concerns, develop solutions, and make recommendations to operations and management.
14. Helping to maintain new team members and keep Brenny’s team member retention goals met.
15. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending company meetings, educational classes, networking & chamber events, seminars, and reviewing industry-related publications.
16. Assist with all equipment licensing procedures.
17. Involved in drug testing policy.
18. Assist drivers with ELD, Sidekick & dash cameras.
19. Assist with Brenny awards.
20. Assist in maintaining work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
21. Assist with signing up team members for classes.
22. Post benefit or human resource-related topics on the company and team Facebook pages weekly as needed.
23. Help organize, prepare, and send off tax information at the end of the year and/or during tax season.
24. Assist in running daily/weekly reports when requested by the VP of Administration or VP of Safety.
25. Assist Owners, managers & team members and all departments as directed.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-College degree or 2-4 years of work experience
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
-Some lifting required. Accepting this position means you have no limits up to 20lbs.
-Must possess a valid driver's license, as errand running could be part of the duties.
-Able to multitask, prioritize tasks at hand, work alone & in a fast-paced team environment.
-Excellent Customer Service, phone skills & data entry – computer skills
-An understanding of the transportation industry, or a desire to learn

Pay: $41,600.00 - $52,000.00 per year
