Duties
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing medical and dental history reviews, clinical examinations, and diagnostic imaging to formulate accurate diagnoses.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient needs and preferences while explaining procedures clearly to ensure informed consent.
- Maintain precise medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws.
- Utilize dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, charting, billing, and record management.
- Uphold strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and adhere to all OSHA standards to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options, post-treatment care, and preventive strategies to foster trust and long-term relationships.
Requirements
- Valid state dental license with eligibility to practice as an Associate General Dentist.
- Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental diagnosis, client communication, and medical terminology.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures including extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and implant placement.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Demonstrated understanding of infection control practices and aseptic technique in a clinical setting.
- Ability to perform dental fabrication tasks and utilize medical imaging tools effectively.
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry along with a solid grasp of healthcare diagnosis and medical documentation standards.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients of all ages including pediatrics; experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and adhering to all state healthcare regulations governing medical records and patient privacy.
