Housekeeping Supervisor
Housekeeping supervisor duties will include but are not limited to the following tasks:
· Assist the executive housekeeping manager with leading the housekeeping department.
· Inspecting rooms cleanliness, making sure that guest amenities are stocked, aligning furniture, etc.
· Assisting housekeepers with room linens.
· Making sure that supplies are readily available to housekeepers.
· Leading the housekeeping department on the days that the executive housekeeping manager takes off.
· Assigning room tasks to housekeepers.
· Assist in cleaning rooms, when needed.
Housekeeping duties will include but are not limited to the following tasks:
· Clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, elevators and lounges as well as guest rooms
· Distribute linen, towels and room supplies using wheeled carts or by hand
· Restock room supplies such as drinking glasses, soaps, shampoos, writing supplies
· Replace dirty linens with clean items
· Check all appliances in rooms are in working order
· Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
· Respond to guest queries and requests
· Respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glasses
· Organize and restock cart at the end of the shift
· Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms
· Follow all company safety and security procedures
· Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards
· Observe and report damage of hotel property
Experience and skill requirements:
· Hotel experience preferred.
· Strong organization skills and great attention to detail.
· Ability to effectively deal with staff.
· A friendly attitude for a hospitality environment.
· Ability to stand and move throughout front office and continuously perform essential job functions.
· Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
· Flexible hours a must. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
